We're 10 Years Old (Young:)!
This blend is a love letter to all of you, for your warmth, openness & support over the years. And for taking a ride with us on this incredible coffee journey. We selected two coffees that have a lot of meaning to us and that together encapsulate and celebrate the last 10 years of roasting coffee for all of you.
First, the Ethiopia Ardi. This coffee was the first fruity, natural processed coffee we rever roasted, just about 10 years ago. Back in those days, we were the first roaster in Vermont to introduce customers to a different (lighter) roast level and to a coffee with the fruit notes and complex acidity of a natural process Ethiopian coffee. We have loved it each year and have continued to bring it back ever since.
The second blend component is another crowd favorite - Mexico Chiapas, produced by the members of the CESMACH Cooperative. An "opposite" compliment to the Ardi on the flavor spectrum - this coffee has a rich body and lots of chocolate and nutty notes. It is a coffee that introduced us to our nonprofit partner, Food 4 Farmers, to the amazing members of the CESMACH Cooperative (we visited them years back to see their impressive coffee operations and beekeeping projects.), and that helped us to donate thousands of dollars to support Food4Farmers and their food security activities.
We've aimed to always bring you exciting coffees that are as delicious as they are accessible. The next 10 years will be no different. We will continue roasting coffees you love while pushing the envelope and offering coffees with intriguing new flavor profiles and experimental processing methods, all roasted to perfection.
Thank you for the last 10 years - we couldn't have done it without you!

It's such a treat to enjoy this blend all over again. While versatile (I'm sure), it pulls a terrific shot of espresso that's easy to dial in. It's got a weight and heft to it well suited to the cooler season while retaining Brio's signature house style of refinement and finesse. Get a bag to celebrate.
