Everardo Ortiz's farm, Vista Hermosa (translates to "beautiful view"), lives up to its name by offering a breathtaking view of Jamundy Canyon in southern Colombia.

After inheriting the farm from his father, Everardo raised his family and ensured their education with the proceeds. After Everardo’s wife passed away in 2017, he remained committed to the farm as two of his children wish to continue working with coffee. 

Continuing his dedication with a focus on expansion, Everardo planted 5,000 new coffee trees, bringing his current total to 12,000 trees. His next plans include building a wet mill on the property for increased efficiency. While he currently relies on his nephew who lives close by for processing, having the infrastructure at Vista Hermosa will allow him to work more efficiently as he increases his productivity.
