Art Hop at Brio 2025

The South End Art Hop is co-created by hundreds of community members when the whole neighborhood turns into an art gallery, food hall, fun and party. It's a celebration of all that the South End has to offer and takes place the weekend after Labor Day. We're so excited for you to join us at Brio. During our extended event hours, our bar will be in full swing, we'll have two very special happenings, The Soda Plant, our home, will be bursting with artists, makers, and events, and there will be food trucks outside all weekend. Join us and experience the magic of the South End for Art Hop 2025!

We all love coffee, now it's time to get creative with it! We’re hosting a hands-on workshop where coffee isn’t just for drinking—it’s your paint! By brewing coffee at different strengths and styles, we’ll have a whole range of rich tones and shades that act just like watercolors. From light latte tans to deep espresso browns, you can create dreamy, coffee-inspired artwork.

You can paint your own designs, draw inspiration from our coffee-themed props, or follow along with local artist Paige Hurley as your guide. We’ll have everything you need—paper, brushes, and of course, plenty of coffee “paint.” Come sip, swirl, and make something beautiful!

** Meet your Art Guide - Paige Hurley **

Hi, I’m Paige! I've been an artist and educator in Burlington for nearly 10 years. I run Parade Arts, an inclusive arts program right here in Burlington, for kids with disabilities.

I’m also the Creative Director at Community Marketing Agency. I love leading special projects that bring ideas to life whether that’s custom merchandise made with laser machines, 3D printers, or hands-on art.

One of our favorite events of the year is back! Join us for this special edition of Drag Story hour with the fabulous Emoji Nightmare and Katniss Everqueer. Gather 'round the yellow roaster with the duo for delightful stories, tales, laughter and sparkles! Grab a coffee, grab the kiddos (or not:) and join us for this most delightful morning with the queens. Free & open to the public and open to all ages.

Featured Artists @ Brio

Check out the work of these amazing artists at the roastery during Art Hop weekend (and beyond):

Charlie Hudson
We were introduced to Charlie and his art by our good friend & neighbor, Soap Box Arts gallery right here at the Soda Plant. Recently, we were honored to display Charlie's "A Place I Go" series at the roastery. Customers have been captivated by Charlie's landscapes and city scenes.

Corrine Yonce - Corrine Yonce Studios
We've admired Corrine's gorgeous paintings at the roastery and along the walls of the Soda Plant for the last several years. We cannot get enough of her whimsical shapes and figures, coupled with beautiful color combinations and unique brush strokes. We're lucky to host a few of her beautiful pieces that we get to enjoy from behind the bar.

Phoebe Lo - Phoebe Lo Studio
We've had the honor of Phoebe's designs adorning our microlot series bags over the last few years. Each was inspired by the coffee within. It has been a lot of fun to see how Phoebe's impressions of the coffee translate into colors and shapes. Phoebe's signature style includes vibrant color palettes as well as playful, surrealist objects that make each piece truly unique.
